• Can't find any update

    Hello
    While I know that there must be updates (GNOME 3.24 is out) my pacman always gives me this:

    [[email protected] ~]$ sudo pacman -Syyu
    [sudo] Passwort für amilopowers:
    :: Synchronisiere Paketdatenbanken...
     antergos                 144.4 KiB   938K/s 00:00 [######################] 100%
     core                     124.3 KiB   869K/s 00:00 [######################] 100%
     extra                   1702.0 KiB  2.29M/s 00:01 [######################] 100%
     community                  3.8 MiB  1905K/s 00:02 [######################] 100%
     multilib                 176.8 KiB  1965K/s 00:00 [######################] 100%
    :: Starte vollständige Systemaktualisierung...
     Es gibt nichts zu tun

    Can anyone help me with that?

  • Eventuell sind deine MIRRORS bisher nicht aktualisiert…

    was hast du denn in der:

    cat /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist

  • @amilopowers

    Hi

    Your first repo isn’t update look http://mirror5.bastelfreak.org/archlinux/extra/os/x86_64/ ( gnome-desktop 3.22)

    Edit your mirrorlist and put first Server = http://archlinux.polymorf.fr/$repo/os/$arch look: http://archlinux.polymorf.fr/extra/os/x86_64/ ( repo update) ( gnome-desktop 3.24)

    Don’t worry

    Cheers

  • @Archrysler
    Thank you very much!
    How do I know that this is a legit server and not any malware machine? You know what I mean I guess.

  • Do you mean I should replace the first repo “Server = http://mirror5.bastelfreak.org/archlinux/$repo/os/$arch” with “http://archlinux.polymorf.fr/extra/os/x86_64/” or just add the new one above all?

    If you see your mirrorlist, you will see that cnchi generated the repository polyform.fr

    But you can choice mirrorlist by country

    Pacman Mirror list generator

  • fetchmirror is handy to use also ;)

    I didn’t make the 148 updates offered because I fear future errors… Can you tell me how to fix this?

  • Looks like you have a typo in the mirror-add you try to add…

    with fetchmirrors you can do it complete automatic… it asks for country and do a rankmirror on servers near you, generate a new mirrorlist, show it to you backup the old one and write the new one…and all mirrors are official ARCHLINUX Mirrors
    fetchmirrors > youtube

    I’ll try that this afternoon, thanks.
