    Chromium 58 won't start

After the upgrade to chromium 58, the browser will not start anymore. This is the terminal output:
    [[email protected] ~]$ chromium
/usr/lib/chromium/chromium: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/chromium/chromium: undefined symbol: hb_font_set_variations
    [[email protected] ~]$
    Any ideas about this?

@Jeannie____ Just to report, it’s working fine here

    I3wm - Mate desktop
    AMD - A4 7300 Radeon graphics
    16 GB ram
    HD 1 TB
    Linux newbie since 06/2016

@Jeannie____ Does the problem persist? Chromium still doesn’t start on you? The link, suggested by @joekamprad, may be of some help. I can only confirm what @fernandomaroto and others say - Chromium 58 starts and works without a problem.

Chromium 58 still doesn’t start, but that’s because I have excluded my harfbuzz packages in version <1.4.x from upgrades. At least I know what causes the problem. As Chromium is not my main browser, I will stick with chromium V 57 for now.
