• error file /boot/grub/themes/Antergos-Default/theme.txt not found ...

Got that message for 5 seconds then grub2 starts …

some hint to solve it ?

    as always TIA !

  • cat /boot/grub/themes/Antergos-Default/theme.txt

to see if grub was right that it is not there…

if it is not there reinstall the package:

    sudo pacman -S grub2-theme-antergos

    how to add system logs

  • cat /boot/grub/themes/Antergos-Default/theme.txt
cat: /boot/grub/themes/Antergos-Default/theme.txt: No such file or directory

what about if i wanna not reinstall that package ?

  • You are free to do so ;)
you can use grub without themeing.
I have no clue for EFI system but i like to use grub-customizer
    Bild Text
    –change THEME to empty
–set your monitor resolution [custom resolution]
–font colors as you want (but not the font and backgroundimage this does not work both should be none)
    –save config wait till ready
–File > save to MBR choose the right Partition !!!

  • THX a lot ‘pal’ ( thus b\w quotation marks ) …

    but…

i need to get rid of that lines (like 4) …

  • shure this is what i was showing you!
you can do it by terminal also.
But you need to modify /etc/default/grub
comment this line out like this:

    #GRUB_THEME="/boot/grub/themes/Antergos-Default/theme.txt"

save the file and regenerate grub.cfg

    sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

But only on Bios system with grub installed into the mbr !!!
