• Touchpad on Acer VX 15 not working

    As you can see my touchpad isn’t detected. I am using GNOME and I have checked mouse and touchpad settings which doesn’t show any settings related to touchpad. External mouse works fine.

    I am using kernel 4.10.8.

    Try to uninstall xf86-input-synaptics package.

    Take a look at this thread.

  • Thank you for replying. I had looked at that thread, but it didn’t help me. I only have xf86-input-libinput now. And still the settings doesn’t show touchpad option.

    seems to work, same kind of hardware there, but may also no showup in settings, because the touchpad is not a modern type one…(most touchpads are recognized as usb devices)
