• No wifi after fresh install

    Hi All,

I installed Antergos on a fresh install and i got no networks showing up to select, in the live install, it was there… i’m not sure why i cant see any networks to connect to, here are the things that i found so far:

06:00.0 Unassigned class [ff00]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTS5229 PCI Express Card Reader (rev 01)
    	Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device 216f
    	Kernel driver in use: rtsx_pci
    	Kernel modules: rtsx_pci

[[email protected] ~]$ rfkill list all
    bash: rfkill: command not found

    alright nothing there yet…

    [[email protected] ~]$ ip link
1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
        link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00
2: eno1: <NO-CARRIER,BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP> mtu 1500 qdisc fq_codel state DOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
        link/ether a0:d3:c1:61:ce:fd brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
3: wlo1: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 qdisc noop state DOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
        link/ether fa:c3:4e:52:cf:eb brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff

ok, appears to be down… checking for firmware errors…

[[email protected] ~]$ dmesg | grep firmware

So i cant select any Network wifi because its not showing up, what do i need to do in order fix?
    Thanks a bunch :)

  • OK, some weird ass voodoo magic solved it, i shutdown the pc and changed some bios settings from legacy, and secure boot. and switched it on, and wifi was there… weird AF… could have been the shutdown as i rebooted, could have been the secure boot setting, welp, I’m a happy chappy now :)

p.s love the stock antergos gui, i’m a long time ubuntu user moving across to this beautiful gui you guys made :) love it & thanks for making this :)
