• Something broke the autologin to DE.

Dispete the fact, that tty log in is possible, antergos refuses to autologin. Reason is not in the kernel, as i suggest. after updating it and reboot, cause the lts doesn’t load either. How can i fix it, or turn on “log in” window?

  • @t2z7 i have 3 machines with antergos. One is with xfce, two with openbox (lxde and lxqt). Refuses to starsX is the one with lxde.

  • journalctl -b

    systemctl --failed

  • @judd i already reinstall twice antergos. First time xfce didn’t load, second kde did. I guess there might be a problem with lightdm, but i don’t wanna to wasting time finding out.

  • You can change LIGHTDM by SDDM
I can not think of anything else:anguished:

  • @judd that was some kind of a problem with drivers, i suppose, here is the same symptoms: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWiBbv4rcJM&list=LLpW_3tutfYhjpfZZb6ky7lw&index=2

  • As this is rolling release there will be some breakage sometimes ;)
But not to be able to start X-Server 99% does not mean that the system is broken.
I remember very often that updates on Kernel and graphic drivers causes lightdm to fail.
So what @judd say would may solve your problem very easy.
May there are also better option to use autologin, if you only have one user on your system, a loginmanager is useless.
And only one thing more that can cause problems…
