• Turn NumLock on before Login screen

    Hi All.
I am using Antergos XFCE and I can’t find the way to make numlock to turn on BEFORE login in, not after.
I have installed numlockx and read this arch wiki page, but XFCE solution only works after login.
Any idea how can I do it?

  • What is about your BIOS ?
Usually there is a option to enable/disable NumLock…

    Not in my laptop… :disappointed:

  • lightdm?

    edit this line and change:

    # greeter-setup-script = Script to run when starting a greeter (runs as root)
    to:

    greeter-setup-script=/usr/bin/numlockx on

    inside /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf

  • thanks @joekamprad, that solution worked!
    Mark as solved.

  • Config file: /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
Uncomment the following and set that lines like this:

    [Seat:*]
    greeter-setup-script=/usr/bin/numlockx on

you can also uncomment e set this line too:
    greeter-session = lightdm-gtk-greeter

And can have run this command:
    sudo systemctl enable -f lightdm

Sorry for the uncertainty but I read a lot of tutorials and I think with the to first lines is enougth.

  • @rcaceiro already solved before, closing…
