  • ok, you don’t have the gtx680m you have the GeForce GTX 960M.

    See if you have a file /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-nvidia-drm-outputclass.conf id you do delete it and see if you Xserver works by doing $ startx You may have to reinstall your NVidia drivers please use nvidia-installer $ sudo pacman -Syu and $ sudo pacman -S nvidia-installer then do

    $ sudo nvidia-installer --bumblebee
  • i am now ona new install.fresh and clean without anything installed. what are the steps i should follow to get it working correctly

  • This is the error I get now after following your steps.

    I had to uninstall nvidia and bumblebee to be able to boot in x.

  • anyone able to help me?

  • bump… still searching for a solution. thanck you

  • to check graphic-hardware:

    lspci | grep -E "VGA|3D"

    As the nvidia-installer is made for bumblebee try to install bumblebee with it:

    sudo pacman -Syu
    sudo pacman -S nvidia-installer
    nvidia-installer --bumblebee -t

    -t for testing, if all looks good (no error reporting) then do install with:

    sudo nvidia-installer --bumblebee

    reboot system

    If you are unshure post the output of:

    nvidia-installer --bumblebee -t
