• brave browser in the repos anymore?


    did brave get dropped from the antergos repos?

  • Nope! I can see it there with a fresh 20 February package.

  • @megaman It’s not appearing in my pamac manager, but i saw it a few weeks ago…

    Antergos (default OS) - WIN10 (abandoned)
    I3wm - Mate desktop
    AMD - A4 7300 Radeon graphics
    16 GB ram
    HD 1 TB
    Linux newbie since 06/2016

    thats weird. i updated the repos and dont see anything in pamac. also tried to install via the terminal and nothing found.

    ya looks like a recent build of brave failed. must be why its not in the repo.

  • any chance brave will make it back to the repos again? no problem if not i can just install from AUR i just prefer repos when possible :) just curious if there was something wrong with the latest builds of it.

  • Went to the website for Brave, and it looks promising. Does anyone know if it’s possible to use sites like Netflix with Brave?

  • @joekamprad Thanks. I knew it worked with Chrome and read that there were ways to make it work with Firefox and Vivaldi, so I thought I’d ask as I don’t really want 15 (okay, an exaggeration) browsers installed if I don’t have to do so.

  • vivaldi maybe i do not try there is a vivaldi-widevine PKGBUILD
    But i am using that one from Antergos Repo packed…
