• Add Antergos repo to arch-linux

Hi! How can i add Antergos repo to arch linux?
I tried just changing /etc/pacman.conf but then there was error with pacman -Syu, so i copied the /etc/pacman.d from my Antergos to arch-linux as well. Is there a better way?

Antergos (default OS) - WIN10 (abandoned)
    I3wm - Mate desktop
    AMD - A4 7300 Radeon graphics
    16 GB ram
    HD 1 TB
    Linux newbie since 06/2016

  • Hi, it’s not a better way really, but you can download it from here (in case you don’t have an Antergos install at hand):

    https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Antergos/antergos-packages/master/antergos/antergos-mirrorlist/antergos-mirrorlist

    Cheers!

Thanks i’ll give another try when i have time :+1:

EDIT: then i really need to copy /etc/pacman.d/antergos-mirrorlist and /etc/pacman.conf? (i mean, there is no other way?)

Antergos (default OS) - WIN10 (abandoned)
    I3wm - Mate desktop
    AMD - A4 7300 Radeon graphics

    1. Edit /etc/pacman.conf and add the antergos repository:
    [antergos]
    SigLevel = PackageRequired
    Include = /etc/pacman.d/antergos-mirrorlist

    1. Download antergos-mirrorlist:
    wget http://mirrors.antergos.com/antergos/x86_64/antergos-mirrorlist-20161107-2-any.pkg.tar.xz

    1. Install it:
    sudo pacman -U antergos-mirrorlist-20161107-2-any.pkg.tar.xz

    I think this should work.

So, yes, you have to edit /etc/pacman.conf manually.

  • @karasu thanks :+1:

  • If someone is interested here is a small step-by step to make the transition

    From original Antergos:
    copy /etc/pacman.conf
    copy /etc/pacman.d/antergos-mirrorlist
    to new machine
    In the new machine
    sudo pacman -Sw antergos-keyring antergos-mirrorlist antergos-repo-priority
Don’t erase the packages if some gpg/signature problem appear
Go to /var/cache/pacman/pkg and install the 3 antergos packages with:
    sudo pacman -U [packages] --force
    sudo pacman -Syyuu

Antergos (default OS) - WIN10 (abandoned)
    I3wm - Mate desktop
    AMD - A4 7300 Radeon graphics
