I ran into an unusual problem — the AUR repository doesn’t have a package. I thought it has everything :)

Anyway, I wanted to install Plume Creator and it’s not in the AUR. GitHub page is here.

Is there a way to install it on Antergos?

I downloaded the zip and ran python setup.py. It gave me this:

    Traceback (most recent call last):
      File "setup.py", line 7, in <module>
        from cx_Freeze import setup, Executable
    ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'cx_Freeze'

  • it was before in AUR… but not anymore…
And do you read the install instructions already?

  • There are libraries under the header For Developers. I assumed they’re for developers. I’ll try to install them. I didn’t see python-cx_freeze on the list though.

  • As there is a debian package i remeber there is a possibility to convert this to arch package… but i can not find…

  • I guess it’s been removed from AUR for a reason, maybe the project is dead. I installed Scrivener instead. Not perfect either but I can compile a manuscript with it.

    Thanks for trying to help.

  • FocusWriter
    Celtx
    Sigil
    Trelby
    Scribus

    All installable over Arch/Antergos

  • I have FocusWriter and Scribus, good tools, I use FW a lot but I need something to compile many chapters into a single manuscript. Scrivener does that, so all good. Thanks.
