• No volume control?

I’m new to Antergos and Arch but I’m a long time Linux user, with no technical expertise whatsoever.

I decided to revive an old eeepc using Xfce and it is working surprising well! However I have no volume control. The sound is working but I can’t use the function keys to control the volume nether I can find any applet, indicator or other sound control settings anywhere.
Should I install any extra packages or am I missing something?
(I saw a lot of “mixer” packages in the repos but I have no idea what I need)

    Thanks for the help!

  • @Rodvil The Arch xfce wiki mentions the xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin, so maybe that’s a good choice. As an alternative, the very nice Altergos Openbox version, which I installed today, has a different volume control in the tint2 panel. Info and download for that volume control is here: http://nullwise.com/volumeicon.html Cheers
