• Let's vote Antergos again

Dedoimedo’s poll didn’t yield interesting results, as the author didn’t specify which distros make up the largest Other (22.37%) category. I’m sure Antergos is among them.

The Foss Force poll for the best Linux distro of 2016, with 19 top Distrowatch’s distros. explicitely includes Antergos. The votes will not be hidden behind an anonymous category now.

    My choice doesn’t change:

  • My choice does not change either !

  • Are the votes going to “Arch linux” instead of Antergos?

Antergos (default OS) - WIN10 (abandoned)
    I3wm - Mate desktop
    AMD - A4 7300 Radeon graphics
    16 GB ram
    HD 1 TB

I don’t know but hope they don’t, as Arch has its own, separate entry, right above us.

  • Antergos was at 4% (121 votes) when I just voted. Happy that this poll does not allow multiple votes, so should be a better reflection of where Antergos sits in the popularity stakes.

  • @just I’m just surpise of Arch Linux votes, comparing with the distrowatch “Top distros”

  • The second, final round of Foss Force voting has begun. Votes counters start from zero. Previous votes don’t count.

Who said it doesn t? Out of curiosity, I tried voting 3 times. All successful!!!.
In my opinion, such polls are only useful to collect our clicks…:eyes:

  • Tell me what you did, because it does not let me to vote again:

“You had already voted for this poll. Poll ID #4”

  • @karasu , it was not on the same day. I voted once. The other two times were when I found this post in our forum. Out of curiosity I clicked on the link and voted again with no problem.
Update:I just voted for a 4th time. Tried for a 5th but didn t accept it. Never tried it successively before, so I don t know what will happen tomorrow (Friday, because it s already Thursday).

  • I did try the next day & got the same result as Karasu. Perhaps its down to dynamic vs static IP address?

I think this is the correct assumption. The poll is protected against multiple votes from the same IP. If we’re at home, with Ethernet cable or W-Fi router, the IP remains the same, and it is not possible to vote more than once.

I was on the go these days, the tablet was connected to various occasional Wi-Fi providers. Their IPs were different. Shame on me, I didn’t resist and voted for Antergos two more times.

  • No, in all cases I used my home Internet connection, using 2 different laptops. I ii let you know if I will succeed in voting once more as said before.

  • So, I m just posting to confirm that I was able to vote again. Twice in a row, Once under FF and another one under Qupzilla (I was trying out its new version and thought to myself "Hell, let s try once more)!
So, that s a total of 6 (six) votes from me (or 6 clicks to the site, if you like). :-1:

  • Sad if the poll may be tweaked by multiple votes.
