• Can't see servers on local network

Have a new install with gnome on my notebook. Neither Files nor Run command will see any servers on local network. I have a NAS and an old tower running fedora server.
I can ping both and connect through a browser but Files - Other Locations will not show any available servers on the network.

I also have Antergos from same download installed in VirtualBox on my desktop. The virtual machine sees the servers and connects perfectly.

As both installs are from same iso, I figure this must be some config setting on the notebook.

    Any suggestions?

  • Did you select the smb option in the installer? If not, you must install gvfs-smb

    sudo pacman -S gvfs-smb
  • That was the problem, thak you.
