  • I heard it will be in the repo on the 12th of April. You can get it using the testing repo now. I am going to wait.

  • just installed it… no issues so far (a bit slower than 3.10 to login) only gsoftware missing - obviously and gnome-session-properties is no longer there for some reason

  • It is in testing now, so not long to be available in extra as stable

  • Using for some days with the unstable repo. No problems so far. Works like a charm and a bit more responsive IMO.

    Please give a feedback after you get help so the thread can be set to solved.

  • anyone knows where gnome-session-properties is? cant edit the startup applications without that, its a pain in the a** to create the .desktop files every time lol

  • Today I typed in terminal “pacman -S gnome” and Gnome 3.12 is in the stable repo! Yeah!

  • yep! 3.12 is here

  • Updating now. Quick question, the Software App, from what source(s) does it pull?

  • Does anyone know of a way to get custom app groups in gnome 3.12? This was one of the major features I was looking forward to and as far as I know that functionality is a part of gsoftware

    GNOME Blog[/url:3pagrju2]":3pagrju2]If you are not using gnome-software, the app folder configuration is also available via gsettings. It is using relocatable schemas, so the required gsettings command-line looks a little different from the usual, and may be worth showing. First,

    $ gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.app-folders folder-children

    will show you the list of defined app folders.

    ['Utilities', 'Sundry', 'Feet']Then,

    $ gsettings get org.gnome.desktop.app-folders.folder:/org/gnome/desktop/app-folders/folders/Feet/ apps[/code:3pagrju2]will list the apps that are in the folder named ‘Feet’.

    ['dconf-editor.desktop', 'd-feet.desktop', 'devhelp.desktop']

    The folder schema has a few more settings that you can explore or change with similar commands.[/quote:3pagrju2]

    Cheers!

  • By the way, does someone have a oneliner to remove the gnome games?

    Thanks for the link. No worries as I get everything I need from the AUR.
