    Problem updating an abandoned Antergos!

    Hi!
I have an Antergos installed in a virtual machine, it was abandoned for a month or two and now i can’t update.
I already tried to refresh keys and sudo pacman-key --init returns a library problem as follows:

$ sudo pacman-key --init gpg: error while loading shared libraries: libreadline.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory chmod: cannot access '/etc/pacman.d/gnupg/trustdb.gpg': No such file or directory gpg: error while loading shared libraries: libreadline.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory gpg: error while loading shared libraries: libreadline.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory ==> Updating trust database... gpg: error while loading shared libraries: libreadline.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory ==> ERROR: Trust database could not be updated.

So now i’m very interested in learning how to update Antergos in case i face something similar on a real pc…
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Always update… xD

Well, you need readline7 and it seems it’s missing or something.

    Does this work for you?
sudo pacman -Syy bash gnupg readline

@karasu said in Problem updating an abandoned Antergos!:

sudo pacman -Syy bash gnupg readline

It’s a virtual machine, so it’s not a big problem, but as i said i’m interested in learning how to solve.
The command didn’t work, PGP warnings about signature. Also prompt if i used the command pacman-key --init (which give me that error above)

PS: How can i discover the pgp signatures to import them manually for the 3 packages you suggest, or how can i install them through terminal ignoring pgp check?

    Hi,

I would advice to download antergos-keyring and archlinux-keyring packages and install them with -U option using pacman.

Then, you can try sudo pacman-key --populate archlinux antergos

    Cheers!

Ok, at first i tried to download the libraries from ALA and move them manually, but there were problems later updating…

Then i downloaded readline, bash and antergos-keyring and archlinux-keyring as you suggested.
    Then everything worked…

@karasu it’s pretty scary leave Antergos without updates for some time hehehehe.
Everything is fine now and i learned a lot.
    Thank you very much :+1:
