• Do Antergos Users Still Need 'pacman -Syu' for New Arch Release?

I use Antergos because I wasn’t knowledgable enough to install Arch on my own yet. I saw an article on Fossbytes about a new release for Arch has come out. It says that new users can download and install the new ISO, but existing users can use the terminal command ‘pacman -Syu’. As an Antergos user, do I too use the ‘pacman -Syu’ command?

    • Antergos with Xfce 4
    • Intel Atom D2700 (2 cores / 4 threads, 2.13GHz, 1MB cache)
    • 4 GB PC3-10600 1333MHz DDR3
    • AMD Radeon HD 6450A Graphics, 512MB
    • Intel NM10 Express Chipset
  • Hi!
Usually pamac shows you an “Update Notification” when you turn on your pc/every 6 hours, if you update by it you won’t need to use terminal to update your system. Pamac is a Graphic tool to install and update stuffs, basically the same way you can do through terminal.

So if you are used to use the terminal you can just type sudo pacman -Syu or open the pamac and update through it.

    Cheers!
