• Can't connect to new Wifi Network

    Laptop has been working fine where I was staying, even used it at the public library and their wifi. Just moved into a place with existing wifi and my laptop won’t connect. I know the password is good, phone connects just fine. Ran a dmesg and here is the output

    Tried disabling IPV6 for kicks and that i did not work.

  • Have you checked your systemd journal? sudo journalctl -b -0

  • Not sure what I’m looking for. This is the output when I was last trying to get it to connect yesterday till the failure.

  • Hmm… try this:

    1. Install dhcpcd package.
    2. Enable it to start at boot with sudo systemctl enable dhcpcd
    3. Edit /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf by making the following change:
      dhcp=dhcpcd

    4. Reboot your system.
