• Failed to boot, libreadline.so.6

excuse me, what is this mean?

bash: error while loading shared libraries: libreadline.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Today I am going to install scanmem.
so I install scanmem from AUR $yaourt -S scanmem

and when I run scanmem, “bash: error while loading shared libraries: libreadline.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory”

so then I instaled readline via pamac-manager

Now everytime I used yaourt or su, it shown:

bash: error while loading shared libraries: libreadline.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

    again

Then I restart my laptop, because I cannot run terminal. And now I can’t boot to antergos.
After I clicked at the antergos entry in grub2, it’s stuck here.
Some services were also failed to launch, for example, TLP.

What should I do now? thanks :'3

    Edit: I am using linux-lts

    cannot chroot:

    ===========================================

I dont know what to do anymore, except reinstall. But I don’t want to compile that big-ass unreal-engine or mess up with bumblebee again. That will be my last resort if nothing works.
Im sorry if my info has nothing to do with this problem, but…
    Here is my /etc/fstab:

  • @Pegasusearl

    Hi,
    Try this:

    mount /dev/sda5 /mnt
    mount /dev/sda2 /mnt/boot
    arch-chroot /mnt
    pacman -S linux linux-lts

  • Hi, thanks for helping me.
But I think, I’ll just reinstall my antergos. (It’s done actually)

@karasu said in Failed to boot, libreadline.so.6:

    mount /dev/sda5 /mnt
    mount /dev/sda2 /mnt/boot
    arch-chroot /mnt
    pacman -S linux linux-lts

It’s not work, I have tried that before updating my bash and readline.
I think I’m gonna mark this thread as solved or deleted it.
    Thank you :'3
