• Install GNOME after installation setup

    Hello,

This is a question I launched in reddit but I didn’t receive any answer so I am doing here also. I installed antergos with another Window Manager and now I would like to install GNOME with the “antergos’ user experience”. So, my question is simple, is there any metapackage I should install? or I should follow the arch linux procedure to install GNOME as it is detailed in the wiki?

    Thanks!

    Christian

  • Hi,

You’re out of luck. We have packages for:

    • Plasma 5 (kde)
    • Enlightenment
    • Openbox

Gnome, Cinnamon, MATE and Xfce are managed by the post installation script. You can check it here

    You could install Gnome with
    sudo pacman -S gnome gnome-extra
and then setup it at your taste.

    Cheers!

  • @chrpinedo are you wanting to use gnome now or want to switch between them all the time? what are you trying to do?

  • @karasu Thanks this is the kind of answer I was looking for!
