• Report problem to detect usb ports

Hi, i just connected my external hd and the pc didn’t detected; i started thinking it was fried (panic!)

I tried to switch ports (UBS’, USB2) and nothing, tried to connect a pendrive and didn’t detected also.

then i restarted with my external hd connected and it was all fine, after login the pendrive was also detected.

I don’t know why this behaviour, just wanted to report in case someone experience the same, since i’m not sure if was some update or something else, i just didn’t get any errors.

    Cheers.

Did you, by any chance, issue a reboot in the middle of the process? Remember that when the kernel is updated, a reboot is mandatory.

  • @karasu The thing is that i don’t remember if there was a kernel update, my computer was turned on all day, and when i tried to connect the usb (day’s end) simply didn’t work.
Anyway now is working fine as i said. I just wrote to report.
    Cheers!
