• VMware installation.

I’m having an interesting problem and if anyone else is having this problem I couldn’t find.whenever I tried to install the iso, my VMware gives this annoying error that causes me to have to use the task manager to end process. I’m not sure exactly what I’m doing wrong, admittedly I am a newbie. So if it’s something severely stupid please take it easy on me.

Is any error message shown? Or it’s just that VMWare freezes?

Have you tried Virtualbox? (I know it’s not as powerful as VMWare, but it’s easier to use).

  • I never managed to get wmware working on manjaro (my previous distro) :-(
Seems Arch is not supported by WMW, I found some hacks but too complex for me…
I think I am not alone : vwmware
I don’t like Virtualbox but it run well under Arch, you should go on it.
You can also take a look to Wine/PlayOnLinux/CrossOver these are weaker but lighter solutions I am discovering them and I appreciate them more and more…
