• Battery percentage in top panel

    Hello to everyone, i’m a complete noob on Arch & Antergos (but not in the Linux world) i’m very happy and this distro is great (Sorry for my bad english, i’m from spain)
    I’ve installed the Gnome desktop in my laptop, and i want to see in the toolbar (up & Right) the battery percentage and / Or the remaining time instead of clicking in the top corner.

    Thanks for all!

    I’ve solved in this video (thanks for all)

    I think @anarch speaks about Battery Percentage extension.

    Not yet. It simply doesn’t install on 3.22.

    Lo mejor es por consola y lo más preciso

    acpi -V

    $ acpi -V
    Battery 0: Discharging, 87%, 02:31:09 remaining
    Battery 0: design capacity 4000 mAh, last full capacity 3399 mAh = 84%
    Adapter 0: off-line

    $ gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface show-battery-percentage true

    0_1481022171765_Porcentaje battery-panel.png

    Funciona !

  • @judd Nice and efficient, without any extension. Thank you!

    Note: if Autohide Battery extension is installed, it hides both the battery icon and the percentage value.
