• Installing using btrfs

If I choose btrfs as file system for my install will the installer choose partitioning based on the file system chosen like Ubuntu does by by adding /home as a subvolume of / or something similar?

  • Hi,

Nope. If I recall correctly, it won’t create /home as a subvolume of /. If you tell it to install /home separately, I think it will create a new partition (Cnchi does not understand btrfs logic).

Oh, or you can first setup your HD with GParted.

You can try in a Virtual Machine to be sure, though.
