• Octopi from Antergos repository is not updated

Latest octopi is 0.8.5 but Antergos repository has version 0.8.1.
Can Antergos devs update this package please? Thanks.

  • @Strangiato you can also install from AUR if you want

    https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/octopi/

some interesting comments about Manjaro. not sure what that is about?

  • Hi,

0.8.5 pulls directly from commit 4d0bc6caa92eaf9637af8970dd57779208c5281c

I’m sorry but I won’t be packaging code that it’s not an official release…

    Check this out:

    Cheers!

P.S. If you really want to use “0.8.5” you can install it from aur with yaourt -S aur/octopi

  • Humm, 0.8.5 is a fake release from manjaro team. lol
I cant install 0.8.5 from aur because an error message about conflict between octopi-notifier-qt5 and octopi-notifier-frameworks.
I can use pamac, but tray icon is unusable (mouse clicks do no effect) on kde plasma 5.

  • @Strangiato you can keep using your current version of Octopi and it should be fine :+1:

FTI pamac tray icon has disappeared completely for quite some time now. Newer libraries have made it incompatible with showing in a qt system tray.

  • Yes, I noticed that pamac tray icon is missing now.
If I’m not wrong, Manjaro repository has a package named pamac-appindicator to enable tray icon on kde plasma.

UPDATE: With the newly arrived KDE plasma 5.8.3 upgrade pamac s tray icon shows again. (As previously it only shows in case you expected functioning, too).:grinning:
