• Fresh install boots to black screen with blinking cursor

    Hi all,

Last night i was successfully able to install Antergos with KDE.
My machine is an Asus ROG GL552 VW, running on i7 with skylake support and Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M

    I have 2 internal drives, a 128gb ssd (sdb) & 1tb sata (sda)
Dual boot with Win10, had to install with nomodeset as CNCHI would hang at DE selection otherwise. Not sure if i used the UEFI boot option or the non-UEFI mode

After installation i see the Antergos GRUB.
Choosing the first option, it immediately jumps to a black screen with the cursor blinking on the top left corner.
    Ctrl+Alt+Del works to reboot.

Using systemd.unit=multi-user.target boots to CLI and i can login with my credentials.

How can i get in to the GUI (KDE) of Antergos?
Tried nomodeset & it has no effect.

    Appreciate any assistance

  • Seems like an issue with LightDM.
I did a fresh install and chose not to auto-login, and it booted into KDE.

    Antergos looks great
