• Wallpaper turns white when enabling desktop icons

Hi, the background wallpaper turns white whenever I turn on desktop icons in the GNOME tweak tools. Turning off the desktop icons causes the background to return. What’s up with this?

  • There are reports on this and have to do with the selected theme. Gnome likes adwaita usually. I suggest you try with different themes.

  • Thank you for the help guys, it was because of the Numix theme selected as the GTK+ theme. Now I have a desktop again!

  • Great! Will you mark it as “SOLVED” please?
    Thanks
