• Plex client available?

    Hi.

I searched the forum for Plex, but found nothing helpful. Perhaps my search methods suck. :)

I run a Plex server at home, and enjoy using clients in Windows, roku, and a Samsung device. I am hoping to access my Plex server on some of my Linux systems. I did not find Plex when searching the add/remove application.

Is there another client that would provide me a nice interface for the Plex server content I have available.

  • @schick , hi
    You mean this?

  • Thanks. I am kind of new to Antergos (and Arch) so I will have to research how to install.
    thanks again for the link.

  • Welcome to Antergos!!!

    @schick :

I did not find Plex when searching the add/remove application.

By default AUR is disabled in pamac. Go to preferences, enable it and you ll be able to see AUR, too.

Thanks. Got AUR going easily enough. Pretty exciting for someone new to this like myself. Took a few moments to realize the console display wasn’t just somethign showing progress, but needed some of my input (newb). Love it. Hopefully will have the Plex media client running soon.

looks like will have to do a bunch of research on the Antergos wiki and educate myself on pacman, pamac, package building, and all that goodness.

    Thank you again.

  • The best place to look for is the Arch wiki.
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/
It s got the best documentation about anything you will ever need to know. Antergos is Arch after all.
Just stype in a search engine what your problem is adding “Arch Linux” after that.
    eg: Flex Arch Linux:+1:
