• \[SOLVED\]gdm and lockscreen

    hi, another question about gdm.

also i like the antergos default dm, i want to give it a try, and after installing it via the official repo, i did:

    systemctl enable gdm

to enable it, but after rebooting, still the default dm is starting? … also i wonder about how to get the system to lock the screen, i dont have an option, to lock, hibernate or logout myself, is that normal?

    thanks in advance!

  • Hi,

You must disable lightdm before enabling gdm:

    sudo systemctl disable lightdm
    sudo systemctl enable gdm

We are currently working on a solution for the lockscreen issue. Until then, you can either stick with gdm or install xscreensaver and keep lightdm. Hope that helps!

    Cheers!

  • Sometimes i feel like, having the IQ of a piece of wood… thanks!
