• Restoring mirrorlist, without any backup

    Hi,

    I’m in a slight situation

when i ran reflector i forgot to make a backup of the original pacman mirrorlist, and I’m kind of regretting doing that because the speeds I was getting were far better when I didn’t have reflector on. So now I need a mirrorlist, so should I just paste “All mirrors” from https://www.archlinux.org/mirrorlist/ in /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist, but they’re too many for me to be removing their hash tags one by one, is there another way to do this? I don’t want to go by country.

    Thanks
    K

  • You can rate every mirror with reflector and sort them by download speed, use:

sudo reflector --verbose -l 400 -p https --sort rate --save /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
