  • @lots.0.logs It could be more convenient to accomplish the md5sum with the file name it refers to, couldn’t it? Like in the standard md5sum command:

    $ md5sum antergos-2016.05.28-x86_64.iso
    d34c0276977e6ddbe0d8640ae7df51ec antergos-2016.05.28-x86_64.iso
    $

    With respect

  • I’m not sure what you mean? :confused:

  • A user might want to download and save the hash sum file. For later checks.

    0_1464493847920_antergos-2016.05.28-md5sum.png

    It may be done by saving the antergos-2016.05.28-x86_64.iso.md5 link. Yes, the file name clearly indicates the ISO for which it has been calculated. But the file itself contains only the md5sum value and doesn’t mention the file it was calculated for.

    If the antergos-2016.05.28-x86_64.iso.md5 link was saved with another name, it may be difficult to figure out for what file it was calculated.

    Briefly.

    antergos-2016.05.28-x86_64.iso.md5 currently contains:

    d34c0276977e6ddbe0d8640ae7df51ec

    It is proposed to add the file name md5sum was calculated for:

    d34c0276977e6ddbe0d8640ae7df51ec  antergos-2016.05.28-x86_64.iso

    Just a thought.

    With max respect
