• How do i make a bootable image of my antergos install ?

I’m getting a new laptop and i don’t want to start over so i was wondering if it was possible to make an ISO image of my install .

  • You can use Clonezilla to backup the entire HD image and restore this image to your new laptop. Caveats are:

    1. You must have another storage location to backup your HD image to.
    2. Your new HD must be the same size or larger than your existing HD.
    3. Your new laptop hardware architecture will most likely be different than your existing system. This may cause some problems on a restore especially if you are using proprietary drivers.

There are many Youtube videos on how to use Clonezilla.

  • Choose whichever way suits you.
