• Broken login page

Hello all. I have problem with my cinammon antergos, I suppose that packet with log window is broken.

When I runing my computer and trying to log in I can’t choose any user because “Log window” is white withou any input… Additionaly is no background, and no option to choose… Can I repair broken package with live linux? Or can I log to my system without standart cinnamon, antergos login page? Please help me I need my system back ASAP…

  • Log in back, and press Ctrl+Alt+F2 to open up a tty screen. When asked, give your username, your password next and then, update your system from there.
After you are done, give it the command to reboot and that s all.

  • I have the same problem. I updated my system through pacman on 4/20/16, shutdown my laptop, rebooted the next morning, and got a broken login screen (see image below). How can I log into my DE???

I tried out anarch’s suggestion, but the updates that were installed changed nothing with repects to my problem.

I’m running cinnamon on a Lenovo ThinkPad E540. HELP!
