• \[Solved\]Pictures in nautilus

    Hey hello everybody,
I’m coming from Ubuntu. Installed Antergos and play with that for a few weeks now.
Before i got pictures from albumcovers enclosed in my ogg files. So each song as the album cover.
I don’t see it here in Antergos. I’m sure I’m missing something. I already installed EOG but that wasn’t the problem.
    Who know something about this?

  • You don’t see cover images in the music folder or you can see images in the folder but they aren’t shown in your media player?

  • yes i can see them in my mediaplayer. Why i cant see them in a folder?

  • I am also new GNOME 3.x user so I don’t know much about it but there could be two possible options:

    1. cover image files are in music folder as hidden files so try to view also hidden files in your music directory;
    2. maybe GNOME automatically includes that cover images in your mp3 files so it doesn’t show them.

  • Thanks mate for your help,

I appreciate it but we are not on 1 line.
I think i miss a program to show up the pictures that’s all
O and its off course not hidden and i’m talking about ogg files.
That’s the reason i included a picture to make it more clear where i’m talking about.

    Thanks anyway.

  • I am not sure but maybe this can help: [b:1le54sd3][url:1le54sd3]http://projects.flogisoft.com/cover-thumbnailer/[/url:1le54sd3][/b:1le54sd3]

  • I think you put me in the right direction. Only the last update from that project was 2011 i think. Not working for me.
Anyway your direction is a great help. I have to look for another thumbnailer i think.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

    Try audiothumbnailer from the AUR:

     yaourt -S audiothumbnailer

    Cheers!

  • I tried but didn’t help so far…

  • If I’m not wrong, what Dustin sugested would only help with id3 tags.

According to this, totem is the package you need
