• How to install an rpm package on arch linux?

So on Ubuntu all i do is change the package to deb and use dpkg to install it and its dependencies.

How do i install an rpm package on arch with its dependencies . Most of the things on google seems outdated.

  • @adam I believe you can use rpmextract. However, you should search the AUR first as it could already be there.

  • Torg is right. check the local repos 1st. then check AUR 2nd.

  • As Torg and megaman stated, look in the official Arch repos ( https://www.archlinux.org/ ) first to see if there is an equivalent package for Arch and if it’s not in the official repos, you can try AUR.

What package are you looking for, if you don’t mind my asking?
