• Missing boost libraries (date_time)

    Hi,

I just switched to Antergos from Ubuntu and I find it quite interesting (to say the least), but as expected, I’m struggling with some issues here and there. Antergos ships with boost 1.60 which is nice, but for various reason I need 1.54.

What I’ve done is downgrading first boost-libs then boost with pacman -U <package.xz> but I’m still missing precompiled stuff like libboost_date_time.so.1.54.0. How can I install it?

    Thanks for help!

  • you use pacman to install it.
    pacman -S the-name-of-the-program

Since you are new to the arch/antergos, I would encourage you to bookmark the Arch Wiki. It really is an invaluble tool and resource.

On the LEFT side there is a small SEARCH box at the wiki. Everything under the sun is in the wiki, including pacman

libboost_date_time is part of the boost-libs package, which can be found here: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/boost-libs/

You can install the package using the command @Modisc provided to install it on your system :)
