I’ve noticed this recently, as I almost always hit enter for selecting antergos to boot without having to wait for grub countdown to finish, but recently I noticed that if I let the countdown finish antergos boot will freeze leaving only a black screen. Researching I came across with some forums but either they were old or won’t fix my problem. Any help is appreciated
Antergos doesn't boot unless I hit enter on grub
For anyone that has the same issue, I found the solution, you just have to comment, in etc/default/grub “GRUB_SAVEDEFAULT=true” and then save.
Then run this in terminal, to update grub: grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg (as root).
Reboot and the issue should be fixed
@mirielorella Nice to see the best approach to solve Linux problems. Not passively wait until someone will answer a question, but actively search for a solution, try and apply it yourself. Much appreciated .
