• Second monitor (DVI) stopped working

    Hey there,
    having an odd issue.
    my second monitor just stopped to work (PC not Laptop) about a week ago… searched the arch wiki, this forum and google for an answers - no luck.

    the thing is, on boot (Before and included Grub) the screen works. as i go into the init step (list of the deamons and such, before the GDM login screen) the screen stops getting signals from the PC.

    xrandr no seeing the monitor:

    need some help here guys… I have been using this distro for about a year (maybe more) and this is my first unresolved issue…

  • Same problem here, more or less.
    This is not a laptop but a desktop computer. After the last update, powering on resulted in a blank screen.
    Switching from HDMI to VGA “solved” the problem.

    I have switched to a different video card - that fixed it :)

    just couldn’t find a solution.
