    Auto Login for KDE

    so i am trying to enable kde autologin without success. when trying to add group auto login it says im locked out try again later. im using the arch wiki here for instructions.

    Enabling autologin
    Edit the LightDM configuration file and ensure these lines are uncommented and correctly configured:
    /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
    [Seat:*]
    pam-service=lightdm
    pam-autologin-service=lightdm-autologin
    autologin-user=username
    autologin-user-timeout=0
    session-wrapper=/etc/lightdm/Xsession
    LightDM goes through PAM even when autologin is enabled. You must be part of the autologin group to be able to login automatically without entering your password:

    groupadd -r autologin

    gpasswd -a username autologin

    input “megaman” in the appropriate field.
    Like so;

    [Seat:*]
    pam-service=lightdm
    pam-autologin-servic=lightdm-autologin
    autologin-user=megaman
    autologin-user-timeout=0
    session-wrapper=/etc/lightdm/Xsession

    then;
    groupadd -r autologin
    then;
    gpasswd -a megaman autologin

    If you want to take it one step furhter, most likely you will need to do this with your favorite editor or nano:
    sudo YOUR-FAVORITE-EDITOR /etc/pam.d/lightdm

    then add this: auth sufficient pam_succeed_if.so user ingroup nopasswdlogin
    so that it looks like this:

    #%PAM-1.0
    auth sufficient pam_succeed_if.so user ingroup nopasswdlogin
    auth        include     system-login

    then;
    groupadd -r nopasswdlogin
    then;
    gpasswd -a megaman nopasswdlogin
