• failed to find cpu0 device node, then white screen forever

I come from Mint and wanted to try this easy to use Arch-Based distro.

I downloaded the i686 iso via torrent, put it on my trusty USB stick using unetbootin, and plugged into my Asus Eeee1001px.
during the early boot phase of the live medium, i get a message that says

failed to find cpu0 device node

And after that, just a white screen forever. there is no activity on my thumb drive, and probably not much cpu activity either. the laptop responds to nothing. hard reset is the only way out.
is there something i can do to fix this?

  • @jazoray Use SUSE Image Writer (If on Linux) to write the ISO to the Flash Drive

Cheers! I don't know what I'm talking about!
