• Keyboard shortcuts using the "super" key

From what I’ve read online I’ve come to learn that gnome does not allow the super key to be assigned to anything unless it is in a combination. This has to do with super being a modifier key. However, on my antergos installation, pressing super shows the overview, despite this being assigned to super+s.

Why is this? Is there anyway I can take advantage of this and use the key to bring up the menu (the “show all applications” function). I tried assigning super+s to it but it didn’t do the trick.

  • you try gnome-tweak-tool? there you have “INPUT” to change stuff related to keyboard shortcuts

  • Yeah I’ve tried that as well. It won’t accept the super key alone.

  • I don’t know what is super keys. I just know the windows shortcut keys which i got default with my windows and i am happy with those.
But i really want to know what are super keys. Can you elaborate?
