• Installer error - Cannot create download package list (metalinks)

    Hi.
Currently I am running Antergos on my laptop. However, I want to start over fresh and install it with a root btrfs partition.

Current scheme: 2 partitions, / and /home, both as ext.
Desired scheme: / partition as btrfs and /home partition as ext4.

However, when i try installing antergos with this scheme (/ btrfs and /home as ext4), the installer fails on me. After adding my username and password, it fails with the message:
‘Cannot create download package list (metalinks). Check log output for details.’

I did not try reinstalling as ext4, as it was working 2 weeks ago when i installed it on the same laptop.

I did try to force update cnchi but it did not help.

    Any ideas?0_1449859370064_cnchi.log

  • I’m afraid you’re facing a new bug here:

2015-12-11 12:27:43 [ERROR] download.py(204) create_metalinks_list(): Can't create download set: 'NoneType' object is not iterable

Please, try again disabling all the features, just in case…

  • I did try, same error.

Weird thing is that when i try installing in virtual box with btrfs root and ext4 home, it works.

Really weird indeed. It makes no sense. I’ll have a look at the code, but I fear I will find nothing.

  • If it helps, you could send me some .py files with added log messages and i could just copy/paste them over the current ones and restart the installer?

  • i have the same error, seems like it just cant find kdeartwork-desktopthemes.

  • Maybe it has something to do with Arch dropping support for KDE 4?

    Yep, that’s it.

  • Thats strange… I was installing Gnome, not KDE.

  • @acsinteflorin92 I meant @detrimental 's problem, not yours.

  • @karasu Submitted pull request for kdeartwork-desktopthemes
