• screensaver daemon location?

I’m hoping someone can help me find the location of the xscreensaver daemon so I can put that into my start-up apps instead of the stupid work-around I did with xscreensaver-demo, where it launches every time I login and then I have to click OK to start the daemon and then close the app window.

I have read and reread the entire xscreensaver website as well as the xscreensaver entry on the Arch Wiki and still cannot figure where the hell it is in / , /usr , /etc , /bin , and so forth. If it’s hidden somewhere in /home , I haven’t found it there either.

If anyone has some suggestions for me, I’d really love to hear them. Thanks a lot!

  • Hi @koesherbacon
So you just want to find out the location? It might be inside /usr/lib/systemd/system/
