Sorry, newbie question I know… But how can I install this .deb
And I’ve checked the AUR it it wasn’t there.
You can install dpkg with yaourt, and then install your deb with
sudo dpkg -i package.deb
This can work or really break your system… YMMV.
P.S. Are you sure this program is trustworthy?
Thanks. I will try that. How do AUR packages install packages sourced for .deb files, like the goggle-chrome package? Do they use dpkg?
And no Im not sure if it’s safe. I might just end up going with Bittorrent Sync
Or you can install debtap, use it to convert any deb to xz, then use yaourt -U to install the converted file.
I tried that but got
invalid or corrupted package
I suggest looking into OwnCloud (https://owncloud.org/).
It is open source and is supported on Arch. https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/any/owncloud/
