• Antergos Build Server signature is unknown trust

    Hello!

This problem appeared today when I did the regular, daily update check, throwing the following error for each and every package I tried to upgrade:

error: [package name]: signature from “Antergos Build Server (Automated Package Build System) [email protected]” is unknown trust
:: File /var/cache/pacman/pkg/[package file] is corrupted (invalid or corrupted package (PGP signature)).

I saw that this problem is far from unique, and tried the following after some Google hunting:

    sudo rm -rf /etc/pacman.d/gnupg/
    sudo pacman-key --init
    sudo pacman-key --populate archlinux antergos
    sudo pacman-key --refresh-keys

Now I get the exact same error, but instead of “is unknown trust” it says “is marginal trust”, and no packages are updated. Is this perhaps a problem unrelated to my own computer? I am still very new to GNU/Linux in general and have no clue how keys and keyrings work.

    Thanks.

  • @karasu I see, so it was indeed a server-side problem! Thank you, tried -Syu again now and everything worked like normal again.
