• Sudo lecture warning not going away

Hey guys, I am trying to disable the sudo warning but without success
On the arch wiki they say you need to set
    "Defaults lecture=once"

So I did that with the "EDITOR=nano visudo"
The lecture value was not there but I created it at the end of the file

But I still get the lecture warning
    XFCE

  • Does your Sudoers file have the message:-

We trust you have received the usual lecture from the local System
Administrator. It usually boils down to these three things:

#1) Respect the privacy of others.
    #2) Think before you type.
#3) With great power comes great responsibility.

Mine doesn’t so it must be in a different file. You cant change a command for something that isn’t there.

    Have you tried in ‘sudoers.d’?

  • On arch website they say if its not present just add it to the /etc/sudoers file but that don’t work
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Sudo#Always_show_security_note

  • After reading more online
The solution was to reinstall sudo and add “Defaults:al !lecture” to the sudo file with the “EDITOR=nano visudo” command
