• WLAN function gone after latest kernel update

i did my daily pacman -Syu to get a system upgrade and few days ago there was one to kernel 4.1.2.2 which itself went well, however since then i have no wlan connection anymore on my notebook. the wlan symbol in the gnome panel is gone as well.

package broadcom-wl is installed, wpa_supplicant as well.

could it be that some packages are temporarly broken and it will fix itself soon or what do you advise me to do?

  • An update for the package has just been pushed to our repo. The mirrors will have updated within an hour. Sorry for the trouble.

    Cheers!

  • sadly it’s still not working.
    No matter if I choose b43fwcutter or b43-firmware wpa_supplicant or broadcom-wl.

    What can I try?

Try anything, if I upgrade, should work no more, I did and it was perfect!

  • good news guys … after i removed every broadcom package and did an upgrade it suggested me exactly one broadcom package and now i have wlan back :+1:
