• Gnome does no start up

    yesterday I installed antergos on my machine. All worked just fine. Today I woke up and Antergos just booted into the command line.
    I tried with »startx« but that didn’ work.
    When it’s booting I’m also getting some errors (-> screenshots).


    With »systemd status lightdm.seevice« I am getting this:

    What’s gone wrong my gnome?

    Don’t use startx

    You’re problem is that Lightdm is not working, but I have no clue why. As a quick workaround, try using gdm:

    sudo pacman -Syu
    sudo pacman -S gdm
    sudo systemctl disable lightdm
    sudo systemctl enable gdm
    sudo systemctl start gdm


  • So I installed gdm but when I try disabling lightdm I’m getting this error:

    Error getting authority:  Error initializing authority: Could not connect: No such file or directory (g-io-error-quark, 1)
  • “Solved” it by reinstalling antergos.
