• Cinnamon desktop some strange behavior

    Hello,

My last update made my Cinnamon desktop some strange behavior.
I reinstalled Antergos but I got the same problem.
    What can I do?

    Thanks

  • I’m not sure how to fix this but it looks like a Graphics Driver issue.

  • Where should I look?

Edit: This is Acer Aspire 1410 with a Mobile Intel® 4 Series Express Chipset

  • Hi

I got this same behavior when I login, so this not a Cinnamon problem … should be a driver issue 😞

  • i agree probably a graphics driver issue. did you update anything related to the drivers of late or change anything?

    Login to what?

It looks like your laptop doesnt have a GPU at all so it uses the onboard Intel Graphics and unfortunately I do not have much experience with the onboard Intel drivers so I cant really say what the next step is. Maybe one of the devs will have an idea.

  • I got this solved by changing the back-end for accelerating the DDX from SNA to UXA.

  • @Nuno good work 👍 thanks for reporting back.
