Install FreshPlayer Plugin, you will also need to have Google Chrome installed to use it though. FreshPlayer allows you to use Google’s PepperFlash inside of Firefox.
Μichael, as far as I know, FreshFlash is a wrapper developed at github . It doesn t offer the security Sandbox offered by Google Chrome. Ssandboxing does not depend directly on the Flash Player but upon how it is incorporated in each browser. Google has developed its own sandboxing but this is not incorporated in this wrapper (freshplayer). This means that if some malware penetrates the security of Adobe Flash Player itself, it will not encounter any other difficulties…
Also, you don t need to have Coogle Chrome installed. All you need to have is
chromium-pepper-flash (which we already have in Antergos), plus
freshplayerplugin-git from the AUR. Both Flash Player and Fresh Player plugin upgrades will be taken care of by the AUR helper.
In case one wants Google Chrome installed alongside FF, things get a little complicated.
-First edit the
freshplayerplugin-git and remove the dependencies of
Then edit the
/etc/freshwrapper.confby changing the route of pepperflash from:
1pepperflash_path = "/usr/lib/PepperFlash/libpepflashplayer.so"
1pepperflash_path = "/opt/google/chrome/PepperFlash/libpepflashplayer.so"
Personally. if the outdated ff flashplayer was not good enough for me, I would be sceptical in installing FreshFlash & would rather use Chromium with PepperFlash instead.
